That is precisely the case these units are built for. Solar panels and a deep-cycle battery bank run the unit independently, and the video leaves site over cellular. We have never needed a grid connection to bring a tower live.
Yes. The battery bank is sized for overcast stretches rather than ideal sun, the enclosure is weather-sealed, and power levels are alarmed back to the centre — so if a unit ever does start trending low, we know before you do and attend it.
Yes, and most customers do. The unit is a road-legal trailer, so relocating it as the job phases move is an afternoon's work. Tell us where the activity has shifted to and we will re-site and re-tune the detection zones.
Watching. Every unit reports into our Vancouver operations centre where licensed screening officers verify alerts in real time. A recording tells you what you lost; a monitored unit stops the loss while it is happening.
That depends on sight lines far more than on acreage — one well-placed tower can cover ground that three badly-placed ones would miss. The free site visit exists to answer exactly this, and the answer is often fewer than people expect.
A staffed guard post on a BC site typically runs into thousands per month and still only covers what one person can see from one position. Monitored towers cover the whole site continuously for a fraction of that, with no upfront hardware cost.
